What happens?

Psyllium husk makes terrific slime. Look up pictures of the Plantago plant and discuss why plants produce seeds. The seed shells contain long fiber molecules that can be tangled up into a kind of slime. The slime is edible and therefore well-suited for younger children prone to putting things in their mouths. Our Halloween slime is also cheap and easy to make, so you can’t go wrong with this one. Plus, it looks spooky and is an excellent way of getting into the trick-or-treat spirit. Try making a batch with food colouring and glitter for an especially cool look.
